Responsibilities
- Responsible for environment maintenance and upgrades , performance monitoring and reporting, troubleshooting and issue resolution
- Administers a wide variety of Oracle DB components in a 24/7 high availability client environment. Primary responsibility is production support to include monitoring, troubleshooting, and triage.
- Installs, configures, and maintains the Oracle Database family of products including Oracle DB 11,12
- Ensures installation, configurations, and maintenance procedures of all changes to Oracle Database infrastructure listed are of highest quality and capable of meeting all client SLAs.
- Installs patches associated with Oracle Database upgrades and updates. Packages, deploys applications, migrates, performance tunes, troubleshoots and resolves application services, maintains security, and automates routine procedures through scripting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related fields
- At least 5 years working experience in Oracle Database Administrator
- Experience in the opensource family of middleware infrastructure and Redhat Linux Enterprise
- Experience in developing appropriate monitoring and alerting processes within the mid-tier environment
- Experience in : Open platform such as JBOSS/ NGINX/Apache Web Server
- Experience in developing appropriate monitoring and alerting processes within the mid-tier environment
- Proficient in UNIX shell scripts programming is a must (bash, Perl,python, etc.)
- Experience with “on-premise to cloud” migrations or IT transformations
